Overview

Shÿth Yuck Ckez was founded durring the early 13th century in summer of the year 1224, by Tharngwen Phodnezerf. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Tharngwen Phodnezerf.

Shÿth Yuck Ckez was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Shÿth Yuck Ckez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Shÿth Yuck Ckez is buildings are located arround a single spacious paverstone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town lacks any defencive features, though certainly constructing even a simple fence or digging a ditch is at the forefront of the 's mind. At least, one would hope so.

Shÿth Yuck Ckez seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are smiling, quietly exchanging words with a friend, or simply enjoying the day as they work. It reminds you of an evening at home as everyone dined, having run out of things to talk about and embraced the savory meal before them.

Shÿth Yuck Ckez's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Shÿth Yuck Ckez was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Shÿth Yuck Ckez lost 226 people, 129 livestock, and 99 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 149, when members of Shÿth Yuck Ckez's militia enacted an operation to extract assets from a bridge under siege by the enemy. The operation was complicated by a trusted officer who turned traitor and defects. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in a crushing defeat for Shÿth Yuck Ckez's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Shÿth Yuck Ckez's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
